RoHS Trusted Kitemark

Reassurance

The Kitemark is one of the best known and respected certification marks in the World. Independent assessment on an ongoing basis provides reassurance that relevant requirements have been met or exceeded.

Quality

Kitemark certification is voluntary. Therefore, Kitemark licensees are making a strong public commitment to quality and have confidence in their products and processes.

Trust

Ability to meet the requirements of the RoHS Directive is highly dependant upon the entire supply chain. The RoHS Trusted Kitemark is an independent, recognisable mark that customers can trust.

BS EN ISO 9001:2000 Compliant

Successful companies in the 21st century are those who focus on quality throughout their organisation, everything from the level of customer service they provide, to the standard of the products/services themselves.

Those organisations that are quality driven are becoming increasingly competitive as their customers demand proof of commitment to quality through independent 3rd party certification.

The International Standard, ISO 9001:2000, is a generic system that specifies in broad terms the necessary components of a quality management system. Rather than being specific to any one industry, it details the basic requirements of the quality function for all industries. It has become accepted in a wide variety of industries with over 200,000 certificates issued to organisations in more than 80 countries worldwide.

IPC-A-610 - PCB Assembly Kitemark

The Kitemark PCB assembly scheme covers CEMs key quality requirements to provide reliable electronic assemblies. Additionally samples of completed electronic assemblies are subjected to independent inspection to IPC-A-610.

The Kitemark scheme to IPC-A-610 has three main elements:

1. Quality Plan Assessment
The quality plan specifies the particular operations necessary to ensure that the assembly process continues to comply with the requirements of the standard.
2. Product Inspection
Regular on-site inspection of selected assemblies to the requirements of the standard.
3. Ongoing Assessment
Continuing assessment to ensure ongoing implementation of the quality plan thereby ensuring the compliance of the finished product.

Confident Procurement

The global electronics industry has voluntarily adopted the IPC-A-610 Standard. It is now ubiquitous in purchasing documentation. In addition, voluntary Kitemark certification enables the Assembler to demonstrate both compliance and capability to the customer with the authority of a third-party’s ongoing independent assessment.

Environmental Management - BS EN ISO 14001 Award

Protection of the environment is one of society's key goals. Significant increases in environmental awareness and stricter environmental regulations have resulted in many organisations integrating environmental sound performance by controling the impacts of their activities, products and services on the environment, consistent with environmental policies and objectives. The internationally recognised standard, BS EN ISO 14001 provides a framework for managing environmental responsibilities so they become more efficient and integrated into overall business operations.
