RoHS - News A manufacturing problem shared is a manufacturing
problem solved, when working in partnership with Cemgraft Electronic Manufacturing
After July 2006, assemblies and components
that are imported into Europe must be RoHS Compliant.
The producer of the product is responsible, which means that the manufacturer
or importer of the goods into the European Union needs to comply with
the legislation. If components or
sub-assemblies are incorporated into another product, the producer of
the component or
sub-assembly is responsible.
Exemptions exist under the WEEE and RoHS directives, but they are constantly
changing and the enforcement of the legislation is yet to be agreed.
If you are currently included under the legislation you need to implement
a plan with your contract manufacturer. Cemgraft
Electronic Manufacturing can develop a plan to ensure the smooth
transition to RoHS Compliant Manufacturing
